Ruud Verduin is recognized as an expert in customer engagement and customer relationship management in The Netherlands.
He is consultancy director for Smart Connections, a customer engagement agency that supports clients with developing and implementing effective customer relationship management strategies and systems.
Prior to establishing his own consultancy firm in 1998, Ruud held management positions at one of the big international consultancy firms as well as at several other companies. His clients have included large organizations as well as middle market businesses in industries as diverse as agriculture, financial services, manufacturing, publishing, retail, wholesale, and not for profit.
He is author of the book ‘Introduction to Customer Relationship Management’ and co-author of the book ‘Event Driven Marketing’. Further, he was lecturer in various MBA programs on customer management, chairman of the Platform for Innovation in Marketing, and served as a judge for the Dutch CRM Awards.
