For 20 years of my professional life, I assumed increasingly senior roles in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity and M & A – across various geographies, in Singapore, South East Asia, New York and Chicago. This also includes a concurrent 5 year stint as a lecturer on various financial degree and professional course. In 2011, I became an entrepreneur and started an investment-banking and cross border advisory firm based out of Singapore, focused on India and other emerging markets. With offices in India, Dubai, New York, London and Tripoli, running my own business has invaluably widened my horizons and exposed me to economies and geographies that were until then alien to me.
